What It Is Like

Overtime is a successful local sports bar and gathering place that is regularly buzzing with people. Watch the big game, grab some food and drinks, challenge the group at one of the pool tables, play some virtual golf, or catch live music and special events throughout the venue.

The arcade lineup adds Golden Tee, two pinball tables, and a four-player commercial machine with more than 12 games. WWF WrestleFest is the current crowd favourite when friends or a few new buddies want to jump into a quick multiplayer match.

The Overtime Golden Tee cabinet and the dual-screen commercial machine were both built by 705Arcade.

Why It Is Worth the Trip

Pixel Paradise is the kind of arcade where familiar favourites sit beside games you may have never had a chance to play. Original hardware matters here: chasing a better run in Super Mario Bros. on a Nintendo VS cabinet or grabbing the oversized shifter in 18 Wheeler creates a feeling that a standard controller cannot reproduce.

Ninja Assault was one of the biggest surprises of our visit. We had never heard of it before, but its fast and addictive light-gun action immediately made it a possible future 705Arcade Hidden Gem.

There is also a bright party room beneath a large overhead glass opening, giving groups a comfortable place to gather between games. Pop, chips, and chocolate bars are available, and tickets earned from the redemption games can be traded in for prizes.
